Brooklyn & Daniel | the wedding

One of the things I love about shooting weddings is when a bridesmaid books me for their wedding at a later date.  Even better than that is a sibling...and with this wedding, we had both!  :)  When we traveled to Jamaica last summer with Megan and Chance, we met 40 people during their destination experience.  Two of them happened to be Brooklyn and Daniel.  Brooklyn was the groom's sister and best friend to the bride.  Naturally when we arrived to Brooklyn's wedding, we already knew most of the wedding party.  It was like a little Jamaica reunion!  We love working with people that are fun and totally trust our vision!  This wedding was no exception!  We just had fun and hung out like one of the family!    Here are a few peeks into their wedding...

Trash the dress | James Bond Beach, Jamaica

Megan knew from the get-go that she wanted to trash her dress in Jamaica.  We first thought we would go to the waterfall, but it was super crowded.  After digging around for a remote local spot, we decided on James Bond Beach.  The night we picked, we ran short on light and there happened to be a HUGE independence festival there with 3,000 people in attendance....so, remote wasn't really happening!  So we opted for a sunrise session on my last day there.  It was simply PERFECT!  I couldn't have asked for better light and the scenery was well worth the wait.  I wish we had spots like this here!  Check it out...

 

I could really share the entire session because the location and the light was so beautiful, I loved them all.  :)  Thank you again Megan and Chance for this amazing experience!  :)

Megan & Chance | Destination Wedding

Megan & Chance tied the knot in Jamaica and we were lucky enough to be invited along for the wedding!  We have shot at a lot of beautiful locations for weddings, but I must say, this topped the charts for us.  I was nervous going into it, but now i have a new found love for destination weddings and I cannot wait to book another!  If you want to tie the knot somewhere fabulous, contact us for our travel rates!  :)

 

Back to their fabulous wedding week...We spent several days in Ocho Rios with them covering their entire trip, rehearsal dinner, wedding and even a day after session.  We even tagged along for snorkeling, dinner and time at the pool!  The entire wedding crowd of 40 people were generous and welcoming to us!  We felt like one of the gang!  It was an amazing experience that we just don't get in a one day wedding!  Of course we came home overloaded with a million pictures, video footage and more to sift through.  It was a task, weeding through it all!  But we did and then to make the experience even better, we got to join Megan and Chance at their local reception this weekend.  It was the first time we have ever watched a couple (and 150+ guests!) watch their wedding video for the first time live.  It was so cool to see the tears stream down and the smiles and to hear their thoughts right in that moment.  I wish I could do this with every couple because it certainly makes the entire wedding experience come full circle for us!
